Residence XII is recruiting an Intake Specialist with a passion for contributing to the emerging health of our patients and our dynamic, skillful team. A successful candidate will help women embark on their journey to recovery and is a key member of the Assessment and Referral Team. Under the direction of the Treatment Director, the Intake Specialist is responsible for ensuring consistency with the Residence XII’s mission, values, and philosophical approach to the disease of addiction and with state regulatory requirements. Bachelor's degree preferred or related field experience, equivalent work experience or CDPT.
Knowledge of referrals and local resources.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be detail oriented and well organized.
Knowledgeable of community resources.
Knowledge of 12-step programs and principles would be helpful.
Must be computer literate.
Must have ability to work both autonomously and as a team member.
Respond to A&R calls in a timely manner.
Schedule admission dates for I/P and start dates for I/O/P.
Manage I/O/P census.
Able to communicate clearly with patients and their families, gather brief histories, make referrals as needed and schedule appointments for assessments/evaluations.
Able to communicate clearly with patients and their families, gather brief histories, make referrals as needed and schedule appointments for assessments/evaluations Pick up from detox as needed, communicate clearly with detox staff, and review medications for appropriateness prior to transfer.
Attend daily A&R meetings; develop daily activities based on the needs of the A&R staff.
Screen incoming calls and direct to appropriate A&R staff as needed.
Track assessment data, input and maintain data.
Conduct tours of the facility.
Contact medical/psychiatric persons related to patients and facilitate getting medical information prior to admit.
Work with the financial department as needed, provide back up for insurance confirmations
Assist UR and/or front desk with patient related tasks as needed.
Facilitate requests for medical records from outside sources.
Attend meetings as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
